RCCB vs MCB: What Is the Difference?
Two important safety devices, two different jobs—here is what protects your family.

An MCB protects wiring from overloads and short circuits. An RCCB is designed to detect leakage current, which can help protect people from electric shock.
They are complementary rather than interchangeable. A well-designed home distribution board often uses both, selected and fitted according to the circuit arrangement.
Press the RCCB test button periodically as advised by its manufacturer. If it will not reset or trips often, arrange a professional inspection.
