Why Does an MCB Keep Tripping?
Understand overloads, short circuits, and the safest next step when your breaker trips.

An MCB trips to protect a circuit. Common causes include too many high-load appliances on one line, a faulty appliance, a damaged wire, or a short circuit.
Resetting once after unplugging appliances may help identify a simple overload. Do not repeatedly force a breaker back on if it trips again or if you notice heat, sparks, or a smell.
An electrician can test the circuit, pinpoint the fault, and make sure the MCB rating matches the wiring and expected load.
